These are some images that my group created based on the readings in class. The idea revolving around these images was the idea of praise. We need to be careful to praise students’ intelligence. Too much praise has shown to have adverse effects than what you originally intended. Students who were praised for their intelligence ended up doing poorly when it came to more difficult assignments. When students were not giving as much praise, they preformed better when it came to harder assignments. It is not bad to praise students’ work ethic. However, it is bad, or has been proven, to show that intelligence based praise can have negative effects.
